You are here for our third incarnation, brought back from the grave.
Inspired by the horoscope sign Gemini, the sign of the twins, we believe that fashion allows us to indulge our multiple psyches.
HISTORY TIMELINE
2009 - 2017 • I began selling vintage bags from my closet on Etsy as a side hustle to help pay the way through my Fashion Design degree, then called "Honey Moon Muse". I dug through all the suburban churches and made road trips in my 1980 station wagon down the west coast of USA to find all the gems. This grew into a full time business, grossing 100k years, selling to Urban Outfitters, fashion brands in Australia, and LA celebrities like Tallulah Willis and Francis Cobain. It was a Girl boss thing.
2017 - 2018 • A dream came true and we opened our first brick and mortar retail vintage clothing store in my beloved small town. We served New Westminster, Canada for 2 years, threw Mad Men themed fashion shows, published in Flare Magazine, sold a lot of clothing to Netflix series and most of all, got to outfit our customers in real life! Our collaborations grew tenfold with the creative input of local fashion photographers and stylists. Our shop closed when the 100 year old building we were housed in was set to be torn down.
2020 - 2024 • I took a break from Canada before the pandemic, and my travels took me to Asia, landing and "locking in" Bali, where I grew a new career out of my other love, teaching the dance form contact improvisation. For more on that, visit aaliadances.con
2025 • Gemini Rising Vintage is reborn, now coming to you from Koh Phangan, Thailand. We're here to serve you the greatest vintage from Asia, with a focus on Japanese Kimono for Harajuku queens.
